Plasma treatment for tape application

These plastic strips had an oily film on the surface that would have made tape application difficult. To clean them thoroughly we used a pair of plasma guns to treat the surface.

This can be done at high speed and we successfully plasma treated this product passing under the plasma head at 80 metres per minute and tape was applied perfectly with excellent tape adhesion to the surface.
